Hi Carol my friend. When i was in hospital the Infectious Doctor recommended the probiotic Bio-K Plus With at least 25 billion bacteria. I take it in am after my first Mestinon pill and helps with diarrhea. And then one a dinner time by 6pm. I bought it at Barons store here in California. I hope this helps you. God Bless You.

That's a great question! Unfortunately, the available information doesn't specifically cover probiotics and myasthenia gravis, so a definitive list of safe options can't be provided here.

What is known is that supplements in general require careful consideration with MG, since some can overstimulate the immune system or interact with MG medications like immunosuppressants.

Here are some general tips to keep in mind when exploring probiotics:

- Always check with your neurologist or doctor before starting any new supplement
- Let your doctor know all the medications you're currently taking to check for interactions
- Ask specifically whether a probiotic could affect your immune system activity, since MG is an autoimmune condition
- Look for reputable brands, as supplements are not strictly regulated by the FDA, meaning quality can vary

Your doctor or a registered dietitian would be the best people to guide you toward a probiotic that's both safe and beneficial for your specific situation.

Hi Carol,

There are plenty of liquid probiotics in Costco. I usually buy the small plastic container bottles. I think they’re 10 mls.

Bio-K also is in the the cooler section at stores so it needs to be refrigerated therefore I don't think you can order on Amazon
