Members responded to a question about whether MG causes stuttering, with many confirming that speech difficulties are a very common and frustrating part of the condition. Several members described symptoms beyond stuttering, including slurred speech, a weakened or whisper-like voice, difficulty finding words, brain fog, and trouble pronouncing certain letters, with many noting these symptoms worsen later in the day or when tired. A recurring theme was feeling dismissed by neurologists, but members found comfort in knowing they were not alone and shared helpful tips like resting, staying hydrated, and carrying a notepad to communicate during difficult moments.

Hi, John, I have never had the effect of stuttering, but I find that if I leave my medication beyond the time I should take it, I find my speech starts to become slurred, and I can't pronounce my R,s. This, plus drooping eyes, was the initial onset of my MG.

I was diagnosed while I was going through a divorce, which of course was very stressful. It took a while and many tests to diagnose me with MG, because it's so rare. I had a thymectomy and been on steroids for 21 years. Which really damaged my body. Now after all these years I'm dealing with weak legs, which totally is affecting my way of life. I hope I get to meet many people from all over the globe. God Bless you all. !!

Yes I do but my neurologist said it's psychological!!! I know it isnt and that it's related to my MG

Yes, especially in the afternoon/late evening. I'm not sure if this is MG, but I've also had horrendous brain fog and confusion. Trouble finding the right or correct words as well.
