I've been having them and was just checked out by a cardiologist and my pacemaker is working fine and I've had no afib episodes for a year and a half. I've been on pyrig. since last fall. This is a new thing for me.
Marybeth, I had an extra heart beat some times with stress and anxiety before I contracted MG. However, since starting Mestinon years ago, and getting more rest, I have an unused perscription for Lorazepam by my bedside that is several years old. Since you and I have a snowflake illness, it's interesting to see how MG may affect each of us differently. Blessings to you and your doctors as you "fine tune" your situation.

I do get flutters at times but I think it’s brought on by stress. I keep track of when it occurs and it’s usually when I’m stressed.
I had read it can cause irregular heartbeats, fluttering or rapid palpitations.But more often is t can slow the heart rate ,(bradycardia). There are great benefits of Pyridostigmine, including preventing breakdown of acetylcholine (helping muscles communicate).But there are receptors in the heart too.it is just good to be aware of. Definitely take any questions/concerns to your cardiologist and Neurologist.
