I have Ocular MG and am currently taking 60 mg twice a day of Mestinon and 10 mg of steroids. My oral meds are working well with the exception of the awful side effects.

Unfortunately, the people that have ocular myasthenia gravis may not always stay ocular.
I believe there is a 2-year window That they can acquire generalized myasthenia gravis.
So I believe this would be pretty scary for these people, knowing that there's a possibility that Full-Blown generalized myasthenia can still come. Pray for everybody πŸ™

Hi Laurie
I started with mestinon over 30 years ago. Started taking prednisone when I couldn't see straight anymore. I've been on 5 mg of prednisone for years. I've been in remission for 33 years. It works. Just try and keep your dose as low as you can.
Good luck on your journey! πŸ€
