When I mixed water pills with MG meds I did get crepey skin besides the more frequent cramping. More water seems to help me. I just hate the more frequent trips to bathroom.

I had that skin for a while too. It saggy and yes the sun was not helping. Staying away from the sun did help and using moisturizer with collagen is good ideas. Creams with toner.

What can help with crepey skin when living with myasthenia gravis?

Crepey skin can be a concern, especially since some MG medications like corticosteroids can cause skin thinning over time. This makes the skin more fragile and can contribute to that crepey appearance.

Here are some approaches that may help:

* Use mild, fragrance-free cleansers and moisturizers to keep your skin hydrated and avoid irritation
* Stay away from harsh scrubs that can damage thinning skin
* Consider hypoallergenic products if you have sensitive skin
* Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, which helps maintain skin health

If you're taking medications that affect your skin (like prednisone or other corticosteroids), talk to your healthcare team about products or routines that can protect your skin. They may be able to suggest specific moisturizers or even adjust your medication dosage if skin thinning is becoming problematic.

Protecting your skin from sun exposure is also important, as some MG medications increase sun sensitivity. Use sunscreen with at least SPF 30, wear protective clothing, and avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

I also have that skin and it didn't help losing 60 pounds. However I use lotion everyday and having MG is more important then my skin. My sister said I still look fabulous and thats good enough for me I cover up with sexy cute close lol 😆 😍.
