Is anyone on cellcept suffering from severe diarrhea to a point where it comes down your legs? I go through this and Im wearing "2 pamper".

My issues come and go In my case it’s every 2-3 days.

I take Cellcept and I have gastropherisis. And the Cellcept certainly doesn't help with my gastro problems. I have had the same issues taking Cellcept as you have. You are in my prayers 🙏

Are you experiencing severe diarrhea while taking CellCept for myasthenia gravis?

That sounds incredibly difficult to manage, and it's important to know this could be related to your treatment. Diarrhea can be a side effect of both CellCept and IVIG therapy.

With IVIG, gastrointestinal issues like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain are common side effects that can occur during or shortly after infusion. About 80% of people experience mild to moderate side effects from IVIG.

Additionally, if you're taking acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (like Mestinon) along with CellCept, these medications can also cause diarrhea by increasing how quickly food moves through your digestive system. Too much acetylcholine can lead to digestive problems including severe diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach cramps.

This level of severity definitely warrants immediate attention from your neurology team. Severe vomiting and diarrhea can cause you to lose important minerals, which can create additional health problems.

Your doctor may be able to:
- Adjust your medication dosages
- Switch to a different immunosuppressant
- Provide supportive medications to manage the diarrhea
- Monitor for dehydration and mineral imbalances
