An overdose of Mestinon (too much acetylcholine) can lead to a cholinergic crisis with these symptoms:

• Difficulty breathing
• Excessive saliva production and sweating
• Nausea and vomiting
• Low heart rate
• Blurred vision

If you experience these symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately as medication will be needed to treat these symptoms. An underdose of Mestinon would present as typical MG symptoms getting worse or not being controlled:

• Muscle weakness not improving
• Drooping eyelids not resolving
• General MG symptoms persisting or worsening

Your doctor can help adjust your dosage if you're experiencing either over or under dose symptoms. Never adjust Mestinon dosage without consulting your healthcare provider.
