Hi Cynthia, that you are still having those symptoms, you might need to explore different factors causing the pain. The article above is helpful. You should talk to your neurologist and even primary care to work on resolving these issues. It can take time to rule out causes.

The types of questions your medical team might explore: Are you diagnosed with other autoimmune diseases? Do you have history of falling? Are you under stress? Do any of your medications cause pain? Are you working or staying at home? Do you get any exercise?

A lot of factors can contribute to pain and blood pressure issues. Keep good notes of the symptoms, when they happen, what makes them get better or worse.

I experience a lot of similar symptoms. Medications cause some issues. I have a history of back and neck pain. I have history of falls and fractures. I have multiple autoimmune diseases,

So MG can occur and you may have other illnesses too.
Good luck. Keep us posted on progress you are able to make.

I take 6 60 mg. tablets of generic mestinon daily and infused IVIG every 3 weeks. I have each of your symptoms and my legs and arms are getting weaker. I know it’s such a frustrating disease, but I count my blessings every night. I tell myself it could always be worse, and I would rather I have it than my loved ones. Maybe your mestinon needs to be increased (mine was) and my IVIG meds have also been increased. Tell your neurologist you’re feeling worse, he should make some adjustments to your meds. I wish you the best. 🙏🙏🙏🤗♥️😘

Question: What could be causing ongoing muscle pain and blood pressure issues while taking medication for myasthenia gravis?

Muscle weakness in various body parts, including neck, shoulders, and chest, is common with myasthenia gravis. These symptoms can persist even with treatment and may require adjustment of your medication regimen by your healthcare provider.

Key points about your symptoms:
• Chest and muscle pain could be related to muscle weakness
• Blood pressure concerns may be linked to corticosteroid medications if you're taking them
• Some heart/blood pressure medications can actually worsen MG symptoms Important next steps:
1. Contact your neurologist to discuss your current symptoms
2. Keep track of when symptoms occur and their severity
3. Don't make any medication changes without consulting your healthcare team
4. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience breathing difficulties

Remember that medication effectiveness can vary, and your treatment plan may need adjustment to better manage your symptoms.
