I have hashimoto’s and psoriatic arthritis. Blood test for mg detected antibodies but below diagnostic threshold. Neurologist said EMG was negative for MG but did show some muscle weakness particularly in shoulders and upper arms. I had a period of difficulty getting a deep breath that lasted 3 1/2 years then resolved for 7 years. Returned along with difficulty swallowing, chewing, fatigue and weakness in arms. It's important to note that medications and supplements can affect MG blood test results. A normal or below-threshold antibody test result doesn't definitively rule out MG. Between 6-10% of people with MG have neither detectable AChR nor MuSK antibodies, which is known as seronegative MG.
