How can I manage the side effects from my recent IVIG treatment?

The side effects you're experiencing - headaches, vomiting, and upset stomach - are common during and after IVIG treatment. These typically occur in about 80% of people receiving the treatment. While uncomfortable, these side effects usually improve within a few days after completing treatment. To help manage these symptoms:
- Stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids
- Take over-the-counter pain relievers if approved by your healthcare team
- Rest as needed while your body adjusts
- Contact your healthcare provider if symptoms become severe or don't improve

Remember that it may take a few weeks before you notice improvement in your MG symptoms from the IVIG treatment. If side effects become too bothersome, your doctor can adjust future infusion rates or provide additional supportive medications to help make treatments more comfortable.
