Ah, yes, heat is not our friend!
I must keep reminding myself to be thankful to be able to move & & exercise 🙏
I like your idea of water aerobics 😊
I walk everyday, but today, I had to cut it short, I just didn't feel I could continue, so frustrating ☹️
Thank you for sharing your experiences Annie 🤗
Yeah, Kim…I have the same issue! I was outside working one day last week, and quit when my body said to. However, that was probably 20 minutes too late! I’m limiting my outdoor efforts to 20-30 minutes and only when the temp and humidity are “tolerable”. …and that’s a rough combo in Florida. I felt fine that afternoon (after a cooldown shower and rest) but felt like exhausted overcooked spaghetti the next day. I’ve worked myself up to 30 minutes of walking most mornings- the cooler the better. My fave is pool aerobics or even walking in the pool. I don’t get too hot, and work the program.
That's awesome Carol! That is what I need to learn, to stop & not push on. I LOVE the Fall 🥰 My favourite time of year!
I used my treadmill lasted 9:30min then I stopped. I could have gone a lil more but told myself better stop now. Try again later today or tomorrow.
I also cleaned my outdoor lanai as the weather is beautiful today - felt like fall.
Shifting that "push harder" mindset is genuinely one of the toughest adjustments for lifelong exercisers living with MG — and you're definitely not alone in that struggle.
The key reframe is this: with MG, *protecting your energy* is the gain. Consistency at a lower intensity beats one hard session followed by days of Show Full Answer
