Yes I have side effects from MG and feel terrible some days. I also have lived with Fibromyalgia for 30 years so am always in some sort of pain. Anyway I don’t think my brain has realized I have a serious disease. I know I have only been diagnosed since June so maybe that’s it. I still get very frustrated when I can’t do stuff and want to blame myself.

Members connected over the struggle of mentally accepting a serious illness like MG, especially when they spent years pushing through pain as athletes, workers, or caregivers. Several members shared the guilt of stepping back from jobs or household duties, with many describing the hard but important process of unlearning the habit of pushing through. A recurring theme was the power of community support, staying positive, allowing yourself to grieve, and finding gentle activities to keep spirits up.

No point in blaming anyone, just need to stay positive and do the very best for yourself, just remember what works for one person may not work for another😃

I know how it feels to be diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed in 1991 when this was a new thing. I have been rediagnosed over and over. I worked hard my whole life and It was very hard to push myself. The doctors kept me drugged heavily taking 25 pills a day up until 2024 when I told my doctor enough. I currently am on only 5 pills a day and a very high dose of Vitamin D and Miralax and tums often. I had to learn over the years to deal with the pain. For years i was on strong pain medications Narcotics until finally they stopped doctors from prescribing them. I mangae as good as I can

@A MGteam Member I agree that as mg fluctuates quite a lot, even daily, it can be disconserting. try to take a safe short walk or gentle activity at home, even something like clearing the table, to get the endorphins moving. I have a personal theory that feeling okay is your body trying to wrestle with the mg reaction and sometimes it wins and sometimes it doesn't - hence a flare up, both on a daily level and the longer days of worse health. Keep your morale up with safe activities that make you feel good.

I’m contemplating resigning from my part time job - it’s not fun anymore and the stress and the fact 2 women have left and with the holiday season approaching it’s becoming too much for me. I feel very guilty leaving my team but I don’t want to have a flare up or a crisis due to stress. It’s been a year since my journey started and except for leg weakness and of course fatigue I consider myself very thankful and blessed.
