I do what I can each day ,some days or even parts of days ,better in the mornings tired in the afternoon and pick up a bit later ,I do push myself though and try not to give into tiredness, even if means walking and stretching only a little bit on those days

Speaking as someone who exercised vigorously. I walked 6 miles a day in 90mins, that's a round trip, worked out with free weights, had a treadmill at home, gym membership, loved outdoor activities. Always the 1st to volunteer at my kids schools. Girl scout leader, boy scout mom, i was there for all their activities, athletics, math & science olympiad, school chior, art and singing competitions, school trips, pta. Supermom. I wouldn't change any of it.
MG makes you regroup, reorganize and take stock of the time you can do things in a good healthy manner.
Stay hopeful 😎

I have seronegative generalized MG as well. I have great difficulty with repetitive tasks. Even folding laundry has recently been an issue. But when I am not having a flare I have in the past worked with my physical therapist to carefully get back into exercise. The best form of PT for me has been finding a physical therapy office that has a pool & I get some gentle exercises done in the water before moving on to exercises out of the pool. If I have been stuck in bed after a PT session for a few days then I know I have overdone it & we modify or even take a break for a week or so before starting again. This isn’t an easy disease I know & I am sorry you are struggling.

Question: Should I continue exercising even though I experience muscle pain for four days afterward? I have ocular MG with body symptoms, am seronegative and refractory, and have stomach issues with medication.

Exercise can be beneficial for MG patients, but it's crucial to modify the approach to prevent prolonged recovery periods. Here are key recommendations for safer exercise:

• Use very light weights or no weights
• Perform fewer repetitions
• Take frequent breaks during activity
• Listen to your body and stop before exhaustion
• Consider simple stretching as an alternative Your current focus on sleep, scheduled rest, healthy eating, stress reduction, and careful exercise is a good approach. However, the prolonged recovery time suggests your current exercise routine may be too intense. Consider working with a physical therapist to develop a personalized exercise plan that won't trigger such severe symptoms.

Remember that even small movements count - some MGteam members find success with gentle stretching and short walks, gradually building up tolerance over time.
