It sounds like things are still really tough right now β€” dealing with leg weakness and breathing issues while waiting for treatment to kick in is genuinely exhausting. Hang in there.

It's worth knowing that prednisone can take several weeks to show its full effect in generalized MG, so two weeks may still be early days. That said, persistent breathing problems should never be ignored β€” they can be a warning sign of a myasthenic crisis. Here are some important things to keep in mind right now:

- Breathing issues are urgent β€” if you feel your breathing is getting worse, seek emergency care immediately
- Contact your neurologist soon β€” they may need to reassess your prednisone dose, Mestinon timing, or consider additional treatments
- Mestinon dosing matters β€” timing and dose adjustments throughout the day can help manage weakness, and your doctor can fine-tune this

On the Mestinon side, some MGteam members have found that spreading doses differently across the day helped improve coverage for weakness. One MGteam member shared that switching from 120mg three times daily to 90mg four times daily made a noticeable difference.

Please don't wait too long to follow up with your care team, especially with the breathing concerns still present.
