Did covid jab once while working at nursing home when covid first started because it was required. I'll never have another one. I don't get covid anyway thank God. All the research I've done on them I'll never have another one.

My neurologist advised me against vaccines while in a flare. However as a hospital volunteer I have to have the flu shot or wear a mask when working. I got my shot one day before the deadline with no ill effects but was not required to do the Covid vaccine. Even with the vaccine I had back to back Covid outbreaks.

Can people with myasthenia gravis get the COVID-19 vaccine? Great news — yes, generally you can!
Research has shown that COVID-19 vaccines are considered safe and effective for people with MG. Studies have found that vaccinated MG patients had significantly better outcomes, including lower risks of hospitalization and severe illness. There are a few important things to keep in mind:
- Immunosuppressive therapy: If you're on immunosuppressive medications, live vaccines are generally not recommended. Always check with your MG specialist first.
- Mild symptom flares: A small number of people with MG notice temporary, mild symptom worsening after vaccination, but researchers consider this low risk if your MG is stable and well managed.
- Thymoma: If you have a thymoma, closer supervision after vaccination may be recommended.
The bottom line — talk to your neurologist before getting the jab to make sure it's the right choice for your specific situation. They know your treatment history best!
