I get leg weakness if standing too long. I’ve learned it’s ok to sit if necessary - most stores have pharmacies and chairs if you need to get off your feet. I also use a cane when out for balance, i have a handicap sticker to park closer and use a shopping cart for support.,

It sounds like leg fatigue is really getting in the way, even with Mestinon and prednisone on board. That's genuinely frustrating, and you're not alone in this experience.

It's worth knowing that fatigue in MG doesn't always track directly with muscle weakness. Research has found that fatigue can persist even when MG is well-controlled or in remission — meaning it can sometimes have a life of its own. One MGteam member described it well: there's the fatigue of specific muscles (like legs giving out), and then there's a whole-body crushing weariness that's a different beast entirely. Both are real and valid.

A few things worth discussing with your neurology team:

- Medication adjustment — dosage or timing of Mestinon can sometimes make a difference
- Adding physical or occupational therapy — gentle, conscious movement and stretching can help
- Screening for depression — it's more common with MG and can worsen fatigue significantly
- Ruling out other contributing factors — blood tests can help identify what else might be going on If your current treatment plan isn't cutting it, that's important information for your neurologist. There are other treatment options beyond Mestinon and prednisone worth exploring together with your care team.

I've started waking up almost every morning with sore calves but it's not from leg cramps. My leg muscles are weaker now for sure but is having sore calves a normal part of MG? I've found my legs feeling wobbly when I'm standing still, standing still long enough to just fill a glass with water has my legs feeling like rubber bands. Is this a common thing?
