Diagnosed in 2016. No other major illnesses. Lately My dypsnea is worse when doing simple tasks like bringing in groceries, unloading vehicle, or something simple as showering. Just curious if other folks with just MG have this issue.

Yes, this is something many people with MG experience. One MGteam member shared, "Sometimes I get short of breath unexpectedly, but usually I'm tired, have a slight cold or virus, or have had an extra stressful day." Another noted, "My problem has been the muscles around my lungs."

MG can weaken the breathing muscles that help move air in and out of the lungs, making even simple activities feel exhausting or labored. Since the dyspnea has been getting worse lately, it's really important to bring this up with your neurology team soon. Worsening shortness of breath can sometimes signal that MG is progressing or affecting new muscle groups.

In more serious cases, breathing difficulty can be a warning sign of a myasthenic crisis, which is a medical emergency. Watch for these signs that need immediate attention:

- Severe or sudden shortness of breath
- Inability to catch your breath at rest
- Feeling like you can't get enough air

If breathing becomes severely limited at any point, contact emergency services right away. For the worsening-but-manageable symptoms you're describing, a call to your neurologist is the right next step.
