Sometimes I think we are weaker than we really are. Just having MG makes us stronger. From my personal experiences a recent truck accident that totaled my husband truck that he loved, stress of selling a townhouse and a lightning strike that danaged some of the electrical in our house I was sure I was going to go into crisis…but didn’t. When I went to my Neuro visit I said to my Dr if I didn’t have a crisis then, I’m sure I never will.
Stay strong it will all works out but takes time. Praying for you.

That sounds incredibly overwhelming, and it makes complete sense that you're stressed — identity theft is a serious situation that would challenge anyone, let alone someone also managing MG. The important thing to know is that stress can genuinely make MG symptoms worse, so protecting your mental and physical energy right now really matters.
Here are some things that have helped others with MG navigate high-stress life events:
- Break tasks into smaller steps — tackle one thing at a time rather than the whole problem at once
- Do larger or more demanding tasks earlier in the day when energy tends to be higher
- Take rest breaks often, even during stressful tasks
- Try deep breathing — something as simple as slow, intentional breaths can help calm the nervous system
- Journal your stress and symptoms — it can help identify patterns and also just get feelings out
- Talk to a mental health counselor or therapist — this isn't a luxury, it's genuinely part of managing MG well
One MGteam member shared that major life events, like losing a spouse and returning to work, triggered their MG crises. Recognizing that stress is a real medical trigger — not just an emotional one — is an important first step. Leaning on your one supportive friend is okay — let them help where they can. You don't have to solve everything alone or all at once. Be gentle with yourself through this.
