I had some real issues with Noro Virus, I got on a cruise to Alaska. The MG diagnosis sent me to the endoscopy center. Apparently MG patients continue to "shed Noro Virus" and I had diarrhea for 6 months. My doctor prescribed Imodium ad., but I have dry mouth, dry eye and other dry issues and was told if I take it I could have issue with constipation. I had to stay hydrated and not take it often. He knew I had myesthenia drugs too, obviously, because I was sent to him as the MG causes the issue with constant diarrhea. I don't think anyone gets it for as long as I did.

I know from experience but it's unpredictable. I was the only one in our group to get that but my son and my brother in law and his elderly parents all got COVID. I have never had COVID but because I was on Cellcept, my immune system was compromised and I got more of the vaccine. They said because of my drugs fighting the vaccine I get the shot more often too so I get them every 4-6 months. Even though my son had it when he lived with us, we didn't get it. Because of my MG, diabetes, and sleep apnea I would probably not weather COVID very well if at all. The Noro virus was pretty wicked though. I didn't get the throwing up part at all. My daughter and son in law and kids got it last year and he ended up going into kidney failure, had blood in his urine, from dehydration, and had a seizure, ended up in hospital for a week on dialysis. (Fortunately, they were able to not go as far as to need a kidney transplant) After that, I decided Noro virus might not have been the better option. Anyway, I do believe in the science and the vaccine! At this point they could use me in a study of the vaccine because I have had more than a dozen shots. Lol. I was supposed to be on an awesome riverboat cruise this weekend for a month from Amsterdam to the Black Sea. Due to the hot dry weather, the rivers are at their lowest point and they can't float their boats... Our whole cruise got cancelled. We are bummed. We had our COVID shots, are all packed and had everything arranged and ready:(
