I did this pre-MG. Is this something I can do now because it’s cold in the rink?
Carol,
I don’t have an answer with backup info. The advice above seems reasonable. I know the opposite is true for me. If I am overheated, I feel weak and lightheaded.
Have fun with your friend and the grandsons!
What a wonderful tradition to share with your grandsons! The good news is that cool environments are generally more comfortable for people with MG, since heat tends to worsen symptoms. An ice rink's cool air could actually work in your favor!

Enjoy your outing with your grandson ,if it's very cold I'm not good but wrap up if you feel cold it's about regulating body temperature sometimes cooler is good just like moderate heat can be ok for us with MG .It's trial and error but I think you will be ok have fun
Carol, you got some great (and very consistent) advice from other members!
My reaction to cold is a bit different from most, I suppose. I get very tight muscles, which seems to be an MG trigger for me. Cold makes my muscles tighten, leading to pain. I think testing something new on a small scale (if possible) before doing it for real may help determine whether you can tolerate it.
Cold is good. Hot is not. Go skating! If you can stand up on skates....LOL
