Members responded to a question about whether Glucerna, which contains 25% magnesium, is safe to take for weight gain after a significant loss, with the key advice being to always check with your neurologist first since magnesium sensitivity varies widely among those with MG. Several members shared personal experiences, including one who cannot tolerate any magnesium and had a frightening episode of sudden muscle weakness while out in public, and another whose doctor confirmed Glucerna was safe after a quick email check. A recurring theme was the fear of becoming dangerously weak in public, with members finding comfort in staying close to trusted companions and exploring tools like personal emergency call buttons for extra safety.
