What causes these tiny needle prick sensations you're experiencing?
These sensations could be related to nerve involvement in myasthenia gravis. While MG primarily affects the neuromuscular junction where nerves communicate with muscles, some people experience unusual sensory symptoms.
The needle prick feelings might be:
- Related to how your nerves and muscles are communicating
- A response to muscle weakness or fatigue patterns
- Connected to how your immune system is affecting the neuromuscular junction
It's worth mentioning these sensations to your neurologist, especially if they're new or changing in frequency. They can help determine if this is related to your MG or if any adjustments to your treatment plan might help.
Keep track of when these sensations happen - do they occur more when you're fatigued, after certain activities, or at specific times of day? This information can be really helpful for your medical team.
