Hi this is KEN from "VICTORY IN JESUS " I have been taking Vyvgart for almost three years and it's been doing a good job for me. If something comes along that could do better against symptoms I would like to try it. BUT to be honest I'm praying for REMISSION, because nothing is impossible for the LORD.

Hi Carol
I had the IVIG imunooglobin plasma infusion when I was in crisis mode given at hospital over 3 or 4 days. This was the most effective treatment for me.

They also gave me high doses of Prednisone which I didn't continue when I got home. It's a bad drug. I already had high blood pressure and osteoporosis which Prednisone will cause this as well as other bad side effects.

I hope you get relief if you are going to try the IVIG.

What IV infusion are most patients with myasthenia gravis given?

The most common IV infusion for myasthenia gravis is IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin). This treatment uses concentrated antibodies collected from thousands of healthy donors and is given directly into a vein.

IVIG is typically used as a short-term treatment during MG flares or myasthenic crises. The infusion usually lasts two to five days, though sometimes it's given as one large dose.

The treatment is done at a healthcare facility where providers monitor your vital signs and watch for any side effects. It may take a few weeks before you notice symptom improvement.

Studies show that people treated with IVIG had clinically meaningful symptom improvement within two weeks, making it an effective option for managing active MG symptoms.
