Bad enough to interfere with your vision , I take Mestinon it opens my eye but it doesn't take away all of the double vision , my double vision is better than before mestinon but I still have some , so I had prisoms fitted for me and they are a game changer ,I've had them for 16 months and have never had to change them ❤

I can only read with my left eye, and my right eye closed. The prisoms made a huge difference.. i can read with both eyes open!

I had eye id surgery on my left eye since it was covering my pupil. The insurance covered this because I had Graves’ disease. Years later 2025 I started having double vision. Through my own research I read that there is a connection between Graves and MG. Thankfully Mestinon is working now but I will do prism glasses if I have start bad side effects form Mestinon. Everyone has to I what is best for them at the time.

That is so awesome William that you're doing better and don't have double vision.
I can't even imagine what you went through having surgery on your eyelid. Wow.
Doctors just don't know sometimes and we seem to be guinea pigs.
I'm sorry you went through that .
On the other hand its fantastic that you are doing so much better. No more double vision. No more prism glasses .
Prayers can be answered. We just have to stay positive sometimes and do a lot of praying.

Hello Everyone:
My left eye lid closed suddenly one day and a year and a half later I had eye lid surgery and a random blood test afterward found the cause was MG. So I was started on Azathioprine and prednisone and the left eye lid opened up immediately and completely and that was almost 4 years ago. But as soon as it opened up I had double vision and fuzzy close up vision. I had severe prisms added to my new lenses and each year that went by I got new lenses and less severe prisms. I have no prisms today and no double vision. Life is good. The prisms were a great tool for sure.
