This is what I do.
I take a vitamin supplement called lutein for eyes. 40mg once a day.
I sleep with an eye mask on.
I use cold compresses on my eyes.
I wear shades all the time.
I cover my windows with blackout curtains. They can be stylish.
Out eyes get tired so easy.
Double vision for me is like a flare because it comes and goes.
I just take more naps. Closing my eyes always help eyes regain strength.
Interestingly , I had MONOCULAR DIPLOPIA in both eyes which were caused by my mild CATARACT issues . After Cataract surgery in both eyes around 90 % of my Diplopia issues dramatically improved .
My MG continues to cause some diplopia however it is so much better . Your NEURO doc will let you know what MG treatments are available for treating diplopia caused by MG.
If you have cataracts , mild or otherwise , I would ask your OPTH doc to check you for monocular diplopia and if you have it , cataract surgery may be beneficial.
Yes, Prisms in my glasses take away the double vision. However, I have a new prescription that hasn't been filled, so I'm seeing double off and on. I need to get a ride to take care of this. I think you would be happy with prisms in your glasses.
Prism lens did help me a lot, John. Sometimes I just have to close my eyes and rest. I’m sorry you are going through this. It’s such a pain.
