I occasionally will take melatonin m, like rarely. I have had some sleepless days. If i go 2 or 3 days without sleep and nothing is working I will take a couple of gummies. Just to relax. Because by that time in wired. My sleep schedule is way off and I'm dragging and taking weird naps of 15 or 20 minutes and I have no energy. It's very calculated when I take it. At night at bed time, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. MG messes with everything
I have taken melatonin a few times, slept great!! I didn’t take it consecutively though. Not sure if it can build up in the system or how it works but I would be careful, with anything that can relax you to much! At the end of the day anything that boosts your immune system like strong antibiotics is the extreme danger zone, to my understanding!! I could be wrong, but….I do know that biotin (hair skin and nail vitamins) do not have a good reaction with mestinon or pyridstigamine, I just learned recently! So also be aware of what can counteract your treatment as well as trigger MG. You really can’t ever be TOO careful.
I’m dealing with insomnia too. I haven’t taken anything for it.
Thanks for the info!
Have you tried melatonin for sleep with MG?
Melatonin is a popular sleep supplement, but it can affect the immune system, which may worsen MG symptoms. It can also interact with corticosteroids and immunosuppressants, potentially making them less effective.
