Are you experiencing leg weakness and pain with myasthenia gravis?
Leg weakness is a symptom that can occur with myasthenia gravis, though it's less common as an isolated symptom. When MG affects the legs, it typically causes:
* Difficulty walking long distances
* Trouble standing up from a chair
* Problems climbing stairs
* Weak legs that feel tired
The weakness often worsens with activity and improves after resting. You might notice you feel stronger in the morning and weaker as the day goes on.
Pain isn't typically a primary symptom of myasthenia gravis itself. However, muscle aches can occur, and the strain from compensating for weak muscles might cause discomfort.
If you're experiencing leg weakness along with pain, it's important to discuss this with your neurologist. They can help determine if these symptoms are related to your MG or if something else might be contributing to your discomfort.
Are you noticing that your leg weakness gets worse with activity and better with rest? This pattern is characteristic of MG and can help your doctor understand what's happening.
