Hm? When I'm in a flare up I prefer warm Temps and low lights. Cold weather is not my friend. Makes me feel achy

Darn lol Thank you for sharing with me Robin 🤗
I knew heat affected me but didn't realize the cold could as well. Although I may have pushed the boundaries I was shoveling in the cold 🥶 This is definitely a learning process ☹️

Does cold weather affect myasthenia gravis symptoms?

The available information primarily focuses on how heat worsens MG symptoms rather than cold weather. Heat is a known trigger that can make muscle weakness and other symptoms more intense because high temperatures interfere with communication between nerves and muscles.

While cold weather isn't specifically discussed as a trigger in the same way heat is, everyone's MG experience is unique. Some people may find that extreme temperatures in either direction affect them differently.

The key is paying attention to your own body and identifying your personal triggers. If you notice cold weather affecting your symptoms, it's worth discussing with your neurologist so you can create a management plan together.

Keep track of when your symptoms worsen to help identify patterns. This information can be valuable for your healthcare team in helping you manage your condition year-round.
