Generalized MG, sero negative. On 30 MG prednisone daily. And a 60-90-60 regimen of Mestinon daily. I have other underlying autoimmune conditions that I take medication for . Methotrexate getting reduced to four pills weekly from 9 and going off hydroxychloroquine before the rituximab infusions start. Hoping to get this MG under control sometimes I feel hopeless.

Yes, it is possible to receive both IVIG and Rituximab treatments. IVIG is often used as a short-term treatment to manage MG flares, typically administered over 2-5 days or as a single large dose. The timing and combination of these treatments should be carefully coordinated by your healthcare team.

It's completely understandable to feel hopeless sometimes, but there are many treatment options and combinations available to help manage MG symptoms. Your healthcare team is taking a thoughtful approach by adjusting your medications gradually. Important considerations for IVIG treatment:

• Regular blood testing before and after infusions
• Proper hydration is essential
• Infusion rates can be adjusted if needed
• Supportive medications may be provided to manage side effects
• Close monitoring during treatment

Remember to discuss any concerns about treatment combinations with your healthcare provider, as they can adjust your treatment plan based on your specific needs and response to therapy.

Thank you so much. I’m definitely thinking of seeking therapy. Kaiser gave me therapy when I first got diagnosed, but I need a booster as I’m not getting any better and I need to adjust to that.

I get it. Sometimes I feel the same way. I have other autoimmune conditions as well as seronegative generalized MG. It’s a lot to deal with. I do see a therapist & am on medication for depression & anxiety disorders. It does help but sometimes we just need to know we are not alone. You are not alone. It all can be overwhelming. Sending you hugs
