I currently take Mestinon, (pyridostigmine) as my only treatment for MG. Lately the Mestinon has been irritating my Ulcerative Colitis symptoms of diarrhea and cramping. This is making it rather difficult to do any activity away from home. Have any of my fellow members tried or heard of a more holistic treatment of "Low Dose Naltrexone"?
Mary I take Pyridostigmine only for my MG and at first I had terrible diarrhea , some one on this site I can't remember who told me they take it with milk , or cottage cheese , mac& cheese, pudding , crackers some kind of protein it doesn't have to be a lot about 2 oz. of milk , 2 crackers tablespoon cottage cheese , and one of those pudding cups , I also drink Activity dailies probiotics yogurt drinks they come in a 8 pack next to the yogurt my diarrhea has almost gone away except when I eat a lot of fresh vegetables fruit doesn't bother me , so not I don't eat a big helping of vegetables it was hard at first because I love vegetables and was brought up eating lots of them❤

Thank you everyone for your input on this. I will visit with my Neurologist at my upcoming appointment about other options.
I know someone who took low-dose Naltrexone for years for psoriasis & it never helped in the slightest. I took Mestinon for a few days while still in rehab but quit because it gave me watery lungs & throat. What I do now is infusions of Vyvgart--4 once a week, then a month off. It does help. I am able to have an Option Care Health nurse come to my home for this & my insurance pays for it. My Neurologist orders it. The home care might be accepted by the insurance company because I live on the small island of Kauai where there is no infusion center & it's not feasible to fly to Honolulu that often for treatment. Option Care Health is a nationwide company.
