For several weeks now, about 30 minutes after eating a meal, I get lightheaded, tightness in my chest, and my heart races on and off. I don't feel nauseous, but more of an overall unwell feeling during this time. This will last for at least an hour or more. It does not matter what I eat, or how much, it has been happening every time. Has this happened to any of my team members?
Go to urgent care. Have them run some tests and then you see your doctor right away.
Now ms. maam 🙏🏿
I have had some of the same symptoms but I have blamed it on my Gastroparesis. With that my gut has problems getting food through and operates very slowly. I take a couple of medications for it each day ( senna and lactulose) which have greatly helped. But the half hour after you eat thing rings true with me, feel light headed and unwell are right on the money with me. When I felt this way I would go to bed and sleep for an hour or so then get up and be OK. I have been told that Gastroparsis is not uncommon with MG as digestion problems are part of MG too. Smaller meals help a lot too. Watch what you eat, eat easier to digest ( for you ) foods and perhaps see a doctor to verify if you have digestive problems such as I have. Take care and good luck !
I was diagnosed two years ago with MG and have never had symptoms after eating as you describe. I agree that it may be best to call your neurologist for his/her opinion on what is causing this. God bless.
Hello Mary I get a odd weird sensation after eating. Not all the time but my head feels kinda like it's swimming
I eat smaller meals and sandwiches. (I wrote more but my fingers didn't work and I lost the post)
I don't get nauseated either but just seems odd.
Someone.my breathing is heavier also. And coughing.
Take care Mary..
I'm going to try to find out i have a new doctor appointment coming up.
