Based on what MGTEAM has said that makes sense.
I get tired just chewing sometimes but I've never had problems with my tongue that I can think of.
I usually go back to drinking smoothies and eating small bites at a time because I know MG exacerbates everything. Hopefully it will pass and you will feel better.

What does your doc say?

Oh goodness! My tongue gets very sore on the top and the sides quite often for no reason other than MG I guess. My jaw towards the end of the day gets tight and sore also.

Yes, myasthenia gravis can affect your tongue because it impacts the muscles throughout your body, including those in your mouth and throat. About 15% of people with MG experience symptoms involving muscles in their mouth, throat, and tongue area. These are known as bulbar symptoms.

The primary way MG affects your tongue is by causing muscle weakness, particularly in the back of the roof of the mouth (palatal weakness). To help manage any tongue-related symptoms, it's important to work closely with your neurology team to ensure your treatment plan addresses all of your needs. Some tongue-related symptoms can impact eating, nutrition, and social activities, so proper medical guidance is essential.
