Yes, bladder urgency and incontinence can be side effects of Mestinon (pyridostigmine). This happens because Mestinon increases acetylcholine levels, which can affect muscle control including the bladder muscles.

If you're experiencing these symptoms, it's important to discuss them with your MG specialist. They may be able to:
- Adjust your medication dosage
- Change your medication schedule
- Recommend timing your doses around important activities
- Consider alternative treatment options Remember that taking too much Mestinon can lead to increased side effects. Watch for other symptoms like:
- Excessive sweating
- Increased saliva production
- Nausea
- Vision changes

If you experience severe symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately as these could indicate a cholinergic crisis.

Thanks
I have lists upon lists, but not for writing down when I answered a question and what I said.
Thanks again

Mary, can I make a suggestion. It is best that I write down every question down so I don't forget. Believe me I forget. A list is a good thing.

I appreciate all of your comments. I had not realized that my medicines might make me pee so much and with such urgency.
I have even more questions to ask my doctor when I see her.

Yep. I do. I had my meds checked and found the real culprit was a statin drug I was taking for my high cholesterol.
I still wear panty liners. They actually help the urge to go lessen. I can go out now and not feel like I have to go visit every restroom I see.
Stay hopeful 😎
