I think the AI answer is a pretty good one. For me there seems to be a direct correlation. The worse my allergies are, the worse my MG is, and vice-versa. That's particularly true if I have to take extra doses of Mestinon. Actually, any illness seems to ramp up my MG symptoms to some degree.
All the best to you! ❤️ wm

Seasonal allergies can potentially trigger or worsen MG symptoms, particularly affecting muscle weakness and fatigue. Managing both Show Full Answer

Seasonal allergies can potentially trigger or worsen MG symptoms, particularly affecting muscle weakness and fatigue. Since MG symptoms tend to worsen with activity and improve with rest, the additional stress from allergies may increase overall fatigue levels and make daily activities more challenging.

Managing both conditions requires careful attention to symptoms and may require adjusting treatments during allergy seasons. It's important to work with your healthcare team to develop strategies for handling these overlapping symptoms. Many MGteam members have reported experiencing increased difficulty with breathing, swallowing, or speaking during high pollen seasons. If you notice your MG symptoms worsening during allergy season, keep track of these changes and discuss them with your neurologist. They may recommend temporary adjustments to your treatment plan to help manage both conditions more effectively.
