Members enthusiastically supported the idea of starting a virtual Myasthenia Gravis support group via Zoom, with several expressing interest and noting barriers to attending in-person meetings such as being unable to drive. The community shared extensive resources including contact information for the Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western PA, the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America's support group directory, and details about existing regional groups, with one member offering their counseling background to help facilitate. A virtual support group was announced to meet twice monthly on the first and third Wednesdays, demonstrating how members quickly mobilized to fill an identified need for accessible connection and mutual support.

Virtual connections through platforms like Zoom can help create meaningful support networks, especially for those who may have mobility challenges or live in areas without local support groups.

Support groups can be incredibly valuable for people with myasthenia gravis, whether meeting in person or online. Virtual connections through platforms like Zoom can help create meaningful support networks, especially for those who may have mobility challenges or live in areas without local support groups.

Many MGteam members have found that connecting with others who understand their daily experiences helps them feel less isolated and better supported in managing their condition. Regular weekly meetings could provide consistent emotional support and a space to share experiences and coping strategies. As one MGteam member shared, reading about others' experiences and having a place to ask questions has been tremendously helpful in their journey. A weekly Zoom support group could provide this same kind of valuable connection in a more immediate and personal way.
