I've been on it 13 months. My neurologist at u of m says it takes at least 6 months to a year plus to get the full benefits. I'm on 1000 a day was going to 2000 but my blood work is so good we're staying at the 1000. I'm down to 7.5 prednisone weaning to 0 over the next 4 months.

Cell Cept (mycophenolate mofetil) typically takes one to two years before patients may see the full therapeutic benefits. This longer timeline is common for immunosuppressive treatments used in myasthenia gravis management.

During this period, it's important to maintain consistent communication with your healthcare provider about any changes in symptoms or side effects. They may need to adjust dosing or provide additional supportive treatments while waiting for Cell Cept to reach full effectiveness. While waiting for Cell Cept to take effect, your healthcare team may discuss treatment goals and potentially recommend other medications to help manage symptoms during this transition period. Remember that treatment responses can vary between individuals, so regular monitoring and patience are essential parts of the process.

Tammy I think your husband is confusing cellcept with mestinon. Cellcept doesn't work fast at all. It takes months even years for the full effect.
