Hi Roy! Am just seeing your question, and wanted to chime in. I was taking D3 before my MG diagnosis, and have been taking B12 injections routinely since shortly after I was diagnosed. One of the first things my neurologist did was to check my B12, and found that it was alarmingly low. I don't know how or even if that relates to my MG, but I do know that it has made a huge difference in my energy level and overall feeling of wellbeing. At one point I was down to one injection per month, but have found that I do best when I have a shot at least every 2 weeks.
I am a huge believer in B12 for anyone, but especially for those of us dealing with MG. You can get it in pill form anywhere, but I recommend checking with you doctor to see if you may be a candidate for injections. They've made a huge difference for me!
Yes Roy , I take vitamin D3 5000 iu and B12 500mg , I've taken them for about 3 years , every time I'm tested my levels are right on.
No Brinda not yet
Carol can you tell a difference in your energy level?
I went to my neurologist and while b12 at 365 is in the normal range it’s better to be higher with NG. I’m now on a b12 pill. My rheumatologist and primary advised the same.,
