Prednisone Question? 15 Mg Per Day. Can I Do 10 In The Am And 5 In The Pm And Still Have The Same Effect

Been doing this for a few days now and have been feeling pretty good. Also on Solaris infusions every other week. Not sure if this counts as a 15mg does but seems to be working for me and I have been doing pretty good.

Bill that seems like a long time without changing the dosage.

I just talked to my neurologist about this two days asgo. He said we did not need to change dosage for at least a year and then we would drop it. In my case, the prednisone is really helping.

I agree with everyone it is totally individual but the effect is still the same. I only take it in the morning as it really affects my sleep if I take it at night .

Hello All:
It probably is a doctor question, but in my case he prescribed 30 mg in the morning. I had lots of energy but sleeping was difficult. I used to get up at 1 am or 2 am and start doing chores, etc. As the dosage was reduced slowly over several weeks, the energy level dropped like a rock and I missed the prednisone. But I'm glad I am off of it now. Apparently the liver and other organs don't like it, but it does reduce inflammation, which is a good thing for MG sufferers.
Cheers, Bill Z

My neurologist gave me a choice of taking it in one dose or splitting it up. I ended up having to take it in one early morning dose to decrease the insomnia it was causing. Happy to hear you are doing well!
