I will be talking to my doctors about this but am just curious about anyone else's experiences. My husband and I are starting our family planning journey and I would like the know what I might be in for. Thanks!
Thank you!
*It might have been me you were thinking about with the diagnosis stuff, I just got a seronegative diagnosis about a month ago.
thank you everyone, I am enjoying the mg team.
Thank you, Arelle. I'm glad you got that sorted out. I have sero negative as well although with other symptoms probably from the stress of mg, to be honest. Congratulations on finding what you're dealing with.
totally depends on your existing state of health, it sounds obvious however your mg symptoms are not going to just get up and go because of pregnancy; general tips such as folic acid and b' complex when trying to conceive will always be helpful and you can ask your ob/gyn, nurse or myasthenia nurse/doc about any interactions with present or future meds. I think I saw you have not yet got a confirmed mg diagnosis? I dont know whether I am remembering that correctly or it was another member. General good health tips will go a long way while adjusting to or awaiting diagnosis, lots of water, maintain your existing fitness routine whilst not starting anything new, especially in first trimesters. Indulge gently cravings whilst not going overboard, you'll feel much better for staying mobile and as well as possible throughout. I hope things go great for you and yours. Pregnancy brings a buzz and glow however it is neccesarily a utilization of your own system so do look after yourself well and be well aware of any flare ups, avoid stress like the plague and keep your weight steady as possible (some gain is perfectly natural.) I gained plenty on my first pregnancy & it was tough.
Extra though will need to go into possible meds during labour and mg interactions, espc when considering elective or unplanned caeserian. (typo) Seek out a friendly and resourceful birthing partner who has your back. x
