I am receiving GAMUNEX- C every 4 weeks.
The MG team explanation is a good review with the response being variable and depends on many factors listed above.
Discuss with your neurologist to Clarify what dosage you are receiving ( usually around 1 gram / kg over 2- 3 days ) since your best improvement will occur if you are receiving the correct dosage for your weight. Your NEURO will discuss in detail the reason your IVIG therapy is given , at what dosage is best and at what frequency it should be received . The longer the IVIG infusion time the less likely the side effects.
I found after receiving GAMUNEX -C IVIG for my FIRST therapy, I had MILD improvement as compared to around 2 - 3 cycles later ( every 3 - 4 weeks ) I felt significant noticeable MG symptoms improvement beginning around day 8 or so after the IVIG was received and sadly waning MG symptom improvement around Day 21 or so .
For me , this improvement re occurred with future IVIG therapy. It was worth the effort and time in receiving IVIG to have this wonderful improvement of my MG quality of life.

I wanted to mention it is best to stick to the same brand of IVIG to decrease any potential side effects. Always ask which brand of IVIG you will be receiving . Take a photo of the IVIG bottle you are receiving for future references.

When I was switched to a different brand of IVIG ( not GAMUNEX - C which I had 11 times previously ) , I had a horrible side effect of a painful FLU - LIKE ILLNESS . This change of IVIG brand was prompted by changing to HOME IVIG therapy with the home infusion pharmacist recommending the IVIG brand change .
My NEURO agreed it was most likely the different IVIG brand which caused this FLU like illness reaction and made sure all future IVIG treatments were BRAND name GAMUNEX - C which I have tolerated well.
Have patience , must have FAITH.
Hopefully after the next cycle of IVIG , you will have a more favorable response .

Hi Gracie - thank you!!! Yes I’m doing in home infusions as well administered by the same nurse and by the same pharmacy. I did contact my neurologist and she said you need to give the ivig more time. The pharmacy always calls me to verify weight etc.

The response from mgteam AI and your response and my neurologist show me I have to be patient and the more I get the better I will feel.
