Members discussed finding electrolyte drinks that are low in magnesium, since many popular options contain it. Several members shared alternatives like diluted Gatorade Zero, Walmart brand electrolyte water drops, and whole foods like bananas, avocados, and cantaloupe as natural potassium sources. A recurring theme was the importance of self-advocacy with doctors and carefully reading labels, since even natural options like coconut water contain magnesium.

I'm not going to drink it either , my pcp suggests it because it's high in potassium , but she can't seem to understand I'm sensitive to magnesium or there are some antibiotics I can't take , I have to be my own advocate around her so I can educate her on MG.❤

People with HBP should check with their primary care physician before taking electrolyte supplementation as a lot of these supplements have a ton of sodium.

Walmart brand Electrolyte Enhanced Water drops, the stuff that you add to water for flavor, but these ones specifically have the electrolytes added to them. They only come in Green Apple and Watermelon flavor but they are DELICIOUS! They taste like a green apple or watermelon jolly rancher! I honestly don't think I'd survive without them, lol.

I make smoothies. And ad green veggies sometimes with the fruit once a day.
Avocadod are my favorites in the morning
But you can't go wrong with an all fruit smoothie with coconut water or almond or oatmilk.
I can't drink so many things so this helps me
