That jittery, twitchy feeling in the mornings is something others with MG can relate to. Those small, involuntary muscle twitches are called fasciculations, and they can happen in any muscle group, including the arms.

In MG, the immune system interferes with the signals between nerves and muscles. This disruption can cause muscles to behave unpredictably, leading to twitches or that unsettled, jittery sensation.

A few things that might be contributing include:

- Muscle fatigue — even from the night before or from sleep positions
- Stress — which can tense muscles and worsen MG symptoms
- Time of day — MG symptoms can fluctuate, and mornings can sometimes be a tricky time as your body "wakes up"
- MG type — twitching may be more noticeable in people with MuSK antibody-positive MG It's worth keeping a simple symptom log noting when the jitteriness and twitches happen, how long they last, and anything that might have triggered them. Sharing that pattern with your neurologist can really help guide next steps and adjustments to your care plan.

Even tho I wasn’t feeling great , I still got myself dressed, picked up my granddaughter and took her out to lunch. We had a good time. I was back home in 2 hours. I can’t let this disease get to me and lately it has. Whenever I have to go out to dr appts, shopping, work etc I get myself worked up and then my energy depletes. I feel like I’m becoming a hermit. But today I did it!

Yes I get those during the day mostly. I work around those as much as I can or ignore them. I told myself its just the MG trying to break me!! But its not winning hopefully I go into remission my Dr and I are working on that. I have come to the conclusion that and I'm only talking about myself, that, I am being tested so I can find a work around to share. Let me dream lol 😆. We all have to have patience cause MG is time consuming and we dont know what else is going to rear its ugly head. This is what is so great about this group sharing!! Ok I love you guys but I need to lay down. I went grocery shopping at 8 this morning and it wiped me out 😆 🤣 go team!!!
