Hello friends question for you about prednisone

I have OMG. I am doing pretty good on prednisone only. However other than the 10lbs and a bit of the anger issue LOL. I have been sick a lot also it feels like I have a lump in my throat. Like my glands are swollen. Any one else have this issue.

I’ll take the same prescription, but none of those are mentioned none of those side effects that you mentioned or mentioned in the paperwork that you get when you pick up the medicine where did you get that information from? I mean anger issues the weight gain is there and also it may cause your sugar to fluctuate but that other stuff where do you get that information from?

Some common prednisone side effects include:

- Weight gain
- Mood changes (the "anger issue" you mentioned 😄)
- Increased susceptibility to viral, bacterial, and fungal infections
- Fatigue
- Sleep issues The "lump in the throat" feeling is worth mentioning to your doctor. Swallowing difficulties can be a symptom of MG itself, particularly bulbar symptoms, where throat and tongue muscles are affected. It's important not to assume it's just the prednisone without checking with your neurology team.

Definitely bring both the frequent illness and the throat sensation up at your next appointment — your doctor may want to review your treatment plan or explore whether your MG symptoms are evolving.
