Bob, I was sitting in the chair yesterday waiting to get my fourth dose of Imaavy and realized I didn't have double vision anymore. Yay! I had a little trouble this morning, but it cleared up in a couple hours. I think my brain may be used to double vision and is adjusting to going back. Still impressed with my results. I hope they keep up. I would recommend it as a treatment. First dose is a little longer but after that you go in and take some Tylenol and Benadryl and wait half an hour for it to kick in to reduce any headaches from the infusion. The infusion takes 20 minutes and then after that you wait half an hour to see if you have a reaction. Only a mild headache so far. I go home and sleep a lot for the next few hours then good to go. Highly recommended by me.
Wow Randy, that’s huge ! I’m thinking of making the shift to IMAAVY in June, would really appreciate it if your comfortable sharing how it goes from here…
I just started Imaavy two weeks ago. Having second dose as I write this. Have Triple Seronegative MG and this is my first IV treatment. My muscles started feeling more responsive the same day. Vision improved some what on day two. I seem to be feeling a little stronger almost every day. I'm very impressed so far and have high hopes. IV's don't take very long either.
Are you wondering if Imaavy might be an option after Vyvgart has plateaued for you?
Imaavy (nipocalimab-aahu) is a newer FcRn blocker that was approved in April 2025 for people 12 and older with generalized MG who are AChR- or MuSK-positive. It works similarly to Vyvgart by lowering harmful antibody levels in the body.
