What is causing the "hot flashes" I am experiencing several times a day? I am well past that phase of my life, but my body is on fire!!

I have them too, a very strange experience, because I never had them during menopause. Hopefully they will gradually go away or become less frequent.
Once your system adjust to the medication. I get IVIG. Because I didn’t like how I felt. So perhaps it will be an option for you. The IVIG was given to me in the hospital. I have not felt this good in months. I pray for you ❤️

Rebecca i get tgen too each day and im past that stage in my life. Or so I thought. It's odd because I get cold when I stand up but hot when im sitting.
I was told also that we can still have hormone changes even at this age...im 75

Heat can interfere with the signals between your nerves and muscles, which are already compromised by MG. This can make your symptoms feel more intense and cause that "body on fire" sensation you're describing.

A MGteam member shared: "The heat outside is so, so hard on me. I feel like a big limp spaghetti noodle." Another mentioned experiencing fever-like symptoms after heat exposure, saying they felt "very cold and very unstable" with a headache after spending time in the heat.

Some things that might trigger these episodes:

- High ambient temperatures
- Hot showers or baths
- Physical activity that raises body temperature
- Lack of air conditioning

To help manage this, try staying in air-conditioned spaces, taking cooler showers, drinking cold beverages, and avoiding strenuous activities during hot parts of the day.
