Members shared many heartfelt ways to keep their spirits up while living with myasthenia gravis, with gratitude, faith, and staying connected to others being the most common themes. Several members described finding joy in hobbies like crocheting, gardening, diamond art, baking, and puzzle apps, while others found comfort in pets, bird watching, and peaceful outdoor spaces. A recurring theme was the power of community and self-advocacy, with members encouraging one another to pace themselves, communicate with doctors, count their blessings daily, and lean on faith and friendship to get through hard days.

My husband and I are both going medical problems. We stop what we're doing, several times a day and pray together. I am grateful for all the good that comes from our Father in Heaven and am also grateful for the struggles and trials that bring me to my knees, (metaphorically as I can't kneel anymore) but it makes me appreciate the presence of God in the middle of my struggles that helps me to keep on keeping on. My struggles don't make me stronger but they do make me realize that God is with me through every battle, just as He was with Jesus as He suffered and died for us all. I love to crochet and do bead work also. I love to cook. And my newest crazy obsession is Arrow Puzzle! It's an app on my phone or laptop. Very relaxing and keeps my mind sharp as strategy has to be put in place. I can't do as much outside anymore, but I still put up bird feeders and hummingbird feeders in my front window. I love to watch them feast and interact with each other. And I love to get on the phone and chat with friends and family. That really makes my day. God bless us all!

My bad hands don't let me crochet anymore. I can't see well with my double vision, so I am up a creek. Most days its hard to get out of bed. My faith and Christ is what I depend on.

Talk to the lord alot and meditate on His Word. Having a close relationship with our father and our savior brings joy and strength. Really enjoyable knowing the lord. And MG or anything else CAN'T separate me from the LOVE of God.

I love sitting outside in the am in my lanai with my cup of decaf tea. My hubby set up a fountain so nice to listen to the water and the birds chirping. We also have spinners that spin with the wind. It’s my happy place.

Hi Carol, I have a happy place just like you. It's my yard. I have a swing sitting out there. Lots of flowers and landscaping around and it's beautiful. That's my happy place
