Key historical milestones in the discovery of Myasthenia Gravis include:
1672: Thomas Willis publishes the first description of a patient with muscle weakness, often termed "mute as a fish".
1877: London physician Samuel Wilks makes the first modern description of the disease.
1895: Friedrich Jolly coined the term myasthenia gravis pseudoparalytica and found that electrical stimulation could temporarily relieve symptoms.
1899: The name "myasthenia gravis" was officially adopted.
1934: Mary Walker discovered that neostigmine could treat the weakness.
1960: John Simpson and others proposed that MG is an autoimmune disorder.

I've not yet seen any commercials about MG.
I will keep my eye out for it.
