Has anyone had experience with Hyqvia infusion or Hizentra.

My specialty pharmacy who supplies my IVIG has indicated that they can not dispense Vyvgart Hytrulo because they don't get paid enough and has suggested Hyqvia infusion or Hizentra, even though my insurance has approved the Vyvgart Hytrulo. Has anyone had experience with Hyqvia infusion or Hizentra. I also take 250 mg mycoplenolate. Ihave OMG, GMG and CIDP...all relatively mild cases.

IVIG can help manage myasthenia gravis symptoms by temporarily altering the immune system. It's often used during symptom flares or myasthenic crises, though its role as long-term maintenance therapy is less certain and needs more research.

Key differences to consider:

* Vyvgart Hytrulo is an FcRn blocker that targets the underlying antibody production in MG
* IVIG products like Hyqvia and Hizentra provide temporary immune system support but work through a different mechanism
* IVIG is typically given weekly or monthly at a healthcare facility or can be self-administered at home (depending on the product)

Important considerations:

About 80% of people experience mild to moderate side effects with IVIG, including headaches, nausea, fever, and joint pain. More serious but rare risks include allergic reactions, kidney problems, and blood clots.

Since your insurance approved Vyvgart Hytrulo, you might consider contacting your insurance company or doctor's office to help resolve the pharmacy issue, or ask about using a different specialty pharmacy that can dispense your approved medication.

The specialty pharmacy that I have been using has been fabulous up to this point. I have an amazing nurse who comes to the house, who they supply. I hate to switch pharmacies because of their great customer service and the nurse only works for this specialty pharmacy😪 have a doctor's appointment on the 26th... I will see what he has to say about changing meds at this point.
