Members confirmed that myasthenia gravis can cause insomnia, with many noting that medications like prednisone often contribute to sleep disturbances as well. Several members shared strategies for coping, including listening to music or audiobooks until the sleeplessness passes, taking prednisone earlier in the day, using sleep medications when necessary, and avoiding daytime naps to improve nighttime rest. A recurring theme was accepting the unpredictable nature of MG-related sleep issues, with members encouraging each other to be patient, consult their doctors about treatment options, and stay hopeful through the flare-ups.

Yes. 100%
MG will keep you wide awake 👀 and sometimes make you nap like crazy 🤪
All i can say is just let it pass.
If you try to do something about it, it will mock you.
I've tried tea and sleep meds. When I didn't use them it was still there.
Thankfully the insomnia isn't as bad as the narcolepsy. But they're both flareups in my opinion.
I now listen to music or an audio book or podcast or just watch my fave show. Until they pass. Idk how long that is its different for everyone.
Days can become nights and nights can become days
So I thought, why do I care, I'm retired where am I going🤣 besides to sleep
Any way that was my revelation
Stay hopeful 😎

Talk to your doc about treatments for insomnia.
When I take prednisone , I have insomnia. Off prednisone , it improves. If I nap during the day , insomnia at night is very likely.
