I never even thought about this! I drink Ensure most days. Now I am going to ask my Dr.

Thank you Robert. Yes I've been drinking Ensure for years. The hospital was also giving to me every day . Maybe they didn't know about it and MG.?
I've learnt more on this group than was ever told to me.
When I was sent to rehab after my diagnosis and infusions etc well the nurses thought I had a stroke.....I had to tell a few of them that I have gMG. They never heard of it....didn't make me feel so confident with them.

I just found out through this board (or somewhere) about magnesium potentially being a problem for MG. But, I take it every day because magnesium binds oxalate to stool, making my oxalate kidney stones a thing of the past. So, after finding out about the MG possible effects exacerbated by magnesium, I contacted my neurologist re stopping it, perhaps. She said that, in my case, my body has likely adjusted to the magnesium long ago, as I've been taking it for more than 20 years based on a urologist recommendation. Your mileage may vary, of course.

I will Robert. I'm going to be asking my PCP
What I did find was this is like a food amount and not a complete supplement. I only drink one a day.

You are so right, Roberta. We often know more about drug and disease interactions than the medical teams. Of course, they have to keep up with many, many diseases and medications---not easy. Still, we have to do a lot of our own research in order to ensure they don't do accidental harm. Let us know what happens.
